Medhubnews.com  : "Vietnam", this year’s host country, vigorously welcomes the contestants from around the world! The winner of "Miss Grand International 2017" will be crowned in the night of 25 October.

The contestants from 75 countries around the world headed to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam to compete in Miss Grand International 2017. This year, Vietnam is the host of the pageant with the great support of the Government of Vietnam and Let's Viet TV Channel.

On 7 October, the Miss Grand International 2017 Welcome Ceremony was officially held for the beautiful contestants from around the world at Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC) among several Vietnamese celebrities, honored guests and the press.

Michelle Leon, 4th runner up, Miss Grand International 2016, served as the co-host with Phuong Uyen Le to invite Mr.Tran Minh Tien, Chief Executive Officer of LASTA Multimedia Co., Ltd. and Let's Viet TV Channel and the head of the management team of Miss Grand International 2017 Vietnam to give the opening speech and Mr. Nawat Itsaragrisil,

President and Founder of Miss Grand International Organization expressed his thanks to the host country for the warm welcome, Mr.Tran Minh Tien gave Mr. Nawat Itsaragrisil some souvenirs; a Vietnamese bamboo palm leaf conical hat (Non La) and blue and white scarf which are the symbol of Vietnam.

After leaving the stage, there was a self-introduction of 75 beautiful contestants wearing their long evening dresses amid the cheers of each country. The ceremony was ended with the beautiful presence of Ariska Putri Pertiwi, Miss Grand International 2016 wearing her beautiful evening dress on the stage.

After the reception, 75 beautiful ladies joined the gala dinner on the 1st floor of Pullman Saigon Centre Hotel which some contestants had the chance to show their singing and dancing talents on stage including Premika Pamela Miss Grand Thailand 2017.

For this year, the contestants of Miss Grand International 2017 have to participate in the pageant together for 20 days with the following major competitions 

 - On October 12, 2017, Best National Costume Competition in Quang Binh

 - On October 17, 2017, Best in Swimsuit Competition by the luxurious swimming pool of Vinpearl Phu Quoc Resort & Golf, Phu Quoc Island

 - On October 23, 2017, Preliminary Show at Musical Water Fountain Stage, Vinpearl Land

 - On October 25, 2017, Final Show at Musical Water Fountain Stage, Vinpearl Land
